We’ve established a reputation for quality buildings and project management over the last 40-odd years. What we’re proudest of, however, is our commitment to building relationships. We have established and maintained amazing relationships with clients, vendors, and our community. One of our most precious relationships is the one that we share with our team. We’re extremely proud of the KBS family, and their participation in nurturing these partnerships.
An event that serves to illustrate this point is our new food drive – The 12 Cans of Christmas. From December 2nd through the 13th, KBS team members have been donating cans of food and non-perishable items for the Central Virginia Food Bank. The Food Bank runs the non-profit Community Kitchen and Richmond’s Meals on Wheels. Our donation will go towards helping the Food Bank to provide holiday meals to those less fortunate than others. It’s important to us that everyone get an opportunity to spend some time connecting with others during the holidays, and a hot meal is the perfect setting.
It’s also important to us that folks around KBS have that opportunity. For every 12 cans a KBS employee donates, he or she will qualify for an extra hour of vacation time to spend with their friends and family this holiday season. A donation of 24 cans will earn an extra 2 hours. KBS people are a generous bunch, and the 12 Cans of Christmas is a great example of that. Our hope for this inaugural year is to break the 1,000 can mark.
We’re extremely proud of our KBS family, and honored to help the Central Virginia Food Bank. We don’t just build buildings – we build communities and relationships that are stronger than bricks and mortar.
