KBS performed the tenant improvements in the 1902 Putney Shoe Factory Building to make way for a satellite office with an open-plan, flexible workspace complementing the industrial origins of the original construction.

The Current is a full-block mixed-use development in Richmond’s Manchester neighborhood. It includes multi-residential, office, and retail spaces creating a small community with shared common spaces featuring a ground-level courtyard and pool. These are accessed via a public plaza connecting 4th and Hull Streets that fronts the residential and office lobby, as well as the corner retail space.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Virginia State Police (VSP) Joint Operations Center is the Richmond region’s first and only joint, state agency traffic and public safety operations center. This new, state-of-the-art, 85,000-square-foot facility houses several of VDOT’s Richmond District departments, including VDOT’s Richmond Traffic Operations Center and VSP’s Richmond Division Emergency Communications Center.
This expansion adds 26,500 square feet of educational facilities, administrative office space, a lecture hall, a second shrine and a parking deck. The new shrine, on the memorial’s eastern side, honors veterans from the Global War on Terror. The 61,000-square-foot parking deck adds 172 spaces.
Grace Street Center, located at 912 West Grace Street near Virginia Commonwealth University’s Monroe Park campus, is a seven-story, 90,000-square-foot mixed-use building.
The UNOS Headquarters Building was constructed in downtown Richmond’s Biotechnology Research Park.
This 70,300-square-foot, three-story office building include a call/data center, offices, conference and meeting rooms and training rooms, with one floor partially below grade.
Construction includes the 60,000-square-foot addition to the headquarters and renovating 26,000 square feet of existing office space built by KBS in 1970.
The five-story office building includes 243,000 square feet of office space, plus an additional 19,000-square-foot fitness facility nestled in the suburban 3,500-acre West Creek Business Park in Goochland County.
The Edgeworth Building is a five-story, 166,000-square-foot adaptive reuse project which includes class A offices with retail space and a parking garage.
