10th and Dairy, located in the master planned Dairy Central development in Charlottesville, is a new 226,000-square-foot mid-rise building with 180 one- and two-bedroom units. Amenities include structured parking, coworking space, resident lounge, fitness room, dog spa and a bike storage room. Two courtyards open to the south along West Street and feature elaborate gathering areas with grilling stations, outdoor fire tables and a pool. The project is designed to be EarthCraft Certified and will be complete in 2021. Fifteen units are designated for workforce housing available to those making up to 80 percent of area median income.
Dairy Central is a new mixed-use urban development within walking distance of downtown Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The multi-phase project features the adaptive reuse of the 1937 Monticello Dairy facility. In addition to the residential component, the development includes new Class A office space, a pub for Starr Hill Craft Brewery and a food hall for restauranteurs and retailers.
