Cedar Works at Rocketts Landing

Cedar Works Condominiums is the third building in the Rocketts Landing mixed use development along the James River where Richmond meets Henrico County.

The adaptive reuse of the former Cedar Works Ice Box Plant creates 83 units in the new condominium building.

The units have exposed brick and heavy timber framing. The one- and two-bedroom condominiums range in size from 750 square feet to 1,900 square feet.

Rocketts Landing is a mile-long waterfront development consisting of 1,500 residences, plus retail stores, restaurants, a parking deck and a marina.

The development is named after Robert Rockett, who established a ferry boat business there around 1730 to move people and goods along the James. Rocketts Landing was once a port to more than 900 ships and was connected to Newport News by a rail line by the 1880s.
