Colonial Shooting Academy

Conversion of a three-story, 60,000-square-foot former retail store into a 50-lane indoor shooting range on West Broad Street in Henrico County. The building is located between Libbie Avenue and Horsepen Road.

Colonial Shooting Academy has three inside levels with 39 shooting lanes or stations for its members and the general public. Most of the lanes are 25 yards long. An additional 11 lanes are for law-enforcement training and use.

The building structure will be completely utilized with an exterior facelift and additional parking. The interior will be completely gutted.

The 60,000-square-foot building housed Colony House Furniture from 1965 until the store closed in 2007. The new Colonial Shooting Academy is one of the largest indoor shooting ranges in the United States.
