The Edge at American Tobacco Center is an urban mid-rise apartment project located in the Shockoe Bottom area in the heart of downtown Richmond. It consists of 156 units with four stories of wood framed construction on a podium slab with two levels of parking garage below. The apartment units have one, two, and three bedroom floor plans, ranging from 650-1,400 square feet. Most units feature private balconies. This new construction project has many amenities including a rooftop pool and lounge with a Richmond skyline view, a fitness room, an interior courtyard with a bocci ball court, pergolas and fire pit, conference facilities, and a rooftop clubhouse with a full kitchen and fireplace.
The site work included demolition of existing buildings and parking lots within the city block as well as underpinning the adjacent buildings that remained.
